Mexican Red Knees were extremely common in the 70's and were imported in large numbers. Now they are protected and only available as captive bred. Our red knee was at least 15 years old when we got her and lived with us for another 9 years. She was deliberate, slow moving and gentle. This species is extremely slow growing, if you get a 2" spiderling expect it to take years to reach adult size.
