The last week or so, Mack has been acting stupid around meal time. Normally him and tori follow me around while I get their meals together. Lately I've had to call mack to come eat, and once he gets to me he kind of stands there looking at me like "what do you want me to do". Eventually he eats most of the food but it really takes him a while. And at dinner time when we don't lock them in their crates to eat, sometimes he just wanders out of the crate then heads back in to eat some more.

Any ideas of what might be up with the boy?

We occasionally run into that here - not often - but it happens.

I have a couple of theories:

1) Change in weather meaning when it starts to get warmer they cut back on their food intake

2) Bored with their food for which I'll add something extra like pieces of chicken breast or some of the liquid from Sky's canned food. Kick it up a notch

3) If they don't finish shortly after the others do I'll just pick up their food. Ok so that's an action not a theory. Raspberry

Thanks pam,
you know the change in weather thing, might have something to do with that. Add to that the move, and now lack of a fenced in yard, he's a little less active because we have to take him somewhere to get him off leash for the time being.

Tori on the other hand is eatting enough for the both of them, she runs laps through the house ever chance she gets.

That's just normal behavior at our house. Sometimes they eat, sometimes they don't. They eventually get around to it.

Same thing happened here for a couple of days in my house too. I just jazzed up his food with water in the microwave or added crumbled up crackers, and he eventually ate.

Congrats on your new house!

Unless he seems unwell otherwise or starts losing weight, I would take the suggestions posted and not worry about it.

So, how's his eating going? Back to normal (hopefully)?

It is sporatic, some days he's running right over to eat, other times he walks around not sure what is going on.

Once he gets in his crate he eats. It is just getting him in there that is a challenge.

Hmmm, did you try #2 from Pam's post?

No, but I will give it a try. I've been traveling so much for work lately, feeding duty has mostly been on Bob.
